Rita Khoriaty
Principal
Rita specialises in civil, business, and corporate law. She is a trusted advisor to multinational companies, private equity funds, venture capital funds, family offices, startups, accelerators, and incubators across the MENA region. With extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, she has a particular focus on private equity transactions, corporate relocations and restructurings, cross-border investments, and mergers and acquisitions.
Experience

Advised on the launch of a 10,000,000USD fund of funds in Delaware.

Advised many start-ups in their seed stage, Series A, Series B and Series C venture capital investments (up to 200,000,000USD valuations).

Advised on the restructuring of many international groups of companies and the relocation of their parent companies to the United Arab Emirates.

Advised several family offices, venture capital funds, and private equity funds in relation to their investments in target portfolio companies.

Conducted due diligences for Lebanese and regional funds and US and Jersey funds of funds in relation to their potential investments in portfolio companies and funds.

Advised many start-ups located in Lebanon, the UAE, Iraq, France, the UK, etc. in relation to their day-to-day business (data privacy framework, terms and conditions, review and drafting of contracts, etc.).

Worked closely on many legislative projects, among which a project on the independence of the judiciary in Lebanon financed by the UNDP, and was requested to draft a proposition of law governing start-ups, which was submitted to the Lebanese Parliament.
